Prussians on Parade

Having completed the last of the Ros Prussian units (although I have since found enough figures in a drawer for a further four battalions!) I thought it would be nice to show the fruits of my labours.

So, Sunday morning church parade Berlin 1813.  On parade we have 22 infantry battalions, of which three are Jaegers, one Guard, five Landwehr and two Reserve. There are three batteries of artillery and five regiments of cavalry.

The Jaegers and Line Infantry:

The Reserves and Landwehr:

The left wing cavalry, two regiments of Warrior Dragoons:

The right wing cavalry, a regiment of Warrior Hussars:

The cavalry reserve, two regiments of Warrior Cuirassiers:

  1. Very impressive Army Bob - will you ever field them all at once?

    1. I am looking forward to having a large scale action when I can pit them against the French. Most, if not all will take to the field.

  3. I'll echo previous comments. Wonderful! I dreamed of scenes like this as a schoolboy. Those final four battalions might be interesting to paint as some of the more colorful 'reserve' units that fought in the 1813-1815 campaigns. The Russo-Prussian Legion, which became the 32nd or 33rd Regiment(???) has always seemed like an interesting possibility. Russian uniforms and (unofficial) Prussian infantry standards. In any case, your army here is beautiful.

    1. Some intersting thoughts there Stokes. I was thinking of painting some fusiliers with black equipment, but maybe I could do some more reserve units too.
