The latest unit to be updated are these Hinchliffe early 25mm Brunswick line infantry. Like the Light Infantry in an earlier post these figures are from the true 25mm skinny age of Hinchliffe production. The standard bearer is a conversion of one of the officer figures.
I am slowly assembling a number of units and I should be able to paint a British line infantry battalion soon:
Lovely. One forgets just how thin they really were, but still very charming.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. Agreed, especially when compared to the later offerings from Hinchliffe.
DeleteI'd noticed the slimness - especially the very skinny legs - on other early Hinchliffes, but I think they're cracking figures nonetheless. These look great Bob!
ReplyDeleteYes, head on the legs are very thin, but they do paint up quite well.
DeleteVery nice Bob…
ReplyDeleteVery slender indeed…I also remember the metal being rather soft as well…
All the best. Aly
They are made from soft metal and being so thin the bayonets are often broken. A few go at the ankles too. I spend a lot of time repairing the weapons.
