This week, I have been finishing off a project started last year, namely the painting and basing of two armies for the FIW. The figures were given to me by Bob Black, partly painted and based. I bought a few more from Ian Kay at Irregular Miniatures, including some French.
The French are line infantry (actually moulded as Austrians) in white:

DeleteApologies for not responding sooner, had some issues with the blog.
I will be using a version of my C&C rules, given that the table will have a hex mat overlay. The rules will be very simple as there are no guns or cavalry. Ranges will be very short as troops will mostly be in the forest. Rangers will have an advantage when firing and indians the opposite, although they will gain during close quarter combat with axe and knife.
