I bought these a couple of months ago as part of an Austrian 'army' lot. These hussars were quite well painted, but not entirely to my liking. I have stripped them down and repainted them in my usual glossy style to represent the 5th Hussars:
It was nice to be able to splash out a bit with the colours!
Really nice! Who is the manufacturer of this fine stuff?
ReplyDeleteHi Strategist. These figures are old, out of production items from Miniature Figurines. There are plenty still available on the secondhand market, although some are difficult to track down. These figures are from appoximately 1975. They were superceded by the current range around that time. For many units in the range, the shift to the current figures was done before officers, musicians and standard bearers were cast - which is a shame.
DeleteBob, thank you for your answer! This is quite interesting!
DeleteAwesome stuff.
ReplyDeleteGheers Gowan.
DeleteVery nice Bob...
ReplyDeleteAnd they certainly stand out.
All the best. Aly
Probably glow in the dark!
DeleteThe mighty 5th! Mine have never been defeated; neither my originals from 1985 nor my 2010 replacements. These are fab.
ReplyDeleteA joy to paint. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the field. There is a set of French hussars coming hot on their heels!.
DeleteIt's always the other way around, Bob!
