Not to be outdone, the Russian Field commander decides to parade his troops. Not quite as big as the British element, the Russian still look quite good en-mass. This stocktaking exercise reveals that with all the armies combined I have so far painted over 400 infantry, 130 cavalry and 5 gun teams.
Every bit as good as the British - you're painting style is just perfect for these lovely old figures - Excellent!

Thanks for all the kind comments and encouragement. I agree that these old figures do look good in the toy soldier style, but they also look very nice painted in matt paints with shading. Some excellent examples can be found on the Vintage 20 Mil website, under Douglas Miniatures gallery. These are painted way beyond my skills. I hope this link works:
