The mojo is still there, so I painted another US battalion using some of the advancing/creeping infantry. This will be the last lot for now as I need to work through some more Warrior French, although I am easily distracted! That said, I have half a dozen British Light Bobs on the painting table.
I do enjoy painting the old Airfix figures, which provide light relief one in a while:

It's always wonderful to see these figures, especially so well painted as these and those in your previous post were. They are so versatile too, as you noted previously.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, James
Thanks James. I do like these figures, although this particular pose is not my favourite.
DeleteI've always liked this advancing pose and it's great to see a whole bunch of them together
ReplyDeleteThanks MJT. I cannot warm to this pose. I think they make good irregular infantry, skulking about the bush, but look a little odd in formation.
DeleteMost of my AWI collection is Airfix - not as well painted though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim. I have Revell, Hat and Italeri AWI figures, but I always fall back on my Airfix soldiers. They are just charming.
DeleteLovely to see the old Airfix stuff painted up. That pose cracks me up, perhaps they are wading a river?
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin. I agree, very odd. I think the Grenadier looks even more strange.
