More Ros British

Over the weekend I finished off some more refurbished Ros 25mm British.  The first unit is an infantry battalion in belgic shako:

Also one each of foot and horse artillery:

Just two units to go to finish off the allies.  I am running out of time to be ready for the coming weekend and the French may have to make do with what is already finished in my Ros and Warrior collections.

  1. Hi Bob,
I remember seeing the Ros ads in Military Modelling back in the early 70's and was quite attracted because they seemed a bit more affordable than Hinton Hunt, Minifigs or Hinchcliffe, but Airfix was more in my budget! Did you buy your collection back then or is there a current market? Nice work BTW.
    Cheers
    Dave

    1. Hi Dave. Many of my figures were purchased around 1975-77, although I tend to buy up figures when I see them for sale. I did have some cast for me, mostly cavalry, artillery and command figures for the British, French and Prussians. The moulds should be still available for casting should you be interested.

  2. Very nice Bob…
I do think that the Ros British infantry figures look a lot nicer than their French opponents…

    All the best. Aly

    1. I would agree, someone once described the Ros French Line Infantryman as the worst Napoleonic figure ever cast! The British infantry are rather nice and well proportioned.
