My latest unit to take to the field is a Napoleonic British Light Infantry battalion. The figures are 25mm Minifigs, recently purchased from Calivar, who have taken over production. The castings are lovely, with minimal cleaning up and a joy to paint.
These figures, painted in my 'toy soldier' style, used a mix of Humbrol, Revell and Tamiya gloss paints. Due to the long drying times they took a week to finish.
Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteLovely paint job as ever - your style really suits Minifigs very well indeed.
Any plans for a review at some point?
All the best,
DC
Hi David, thanks for your comments, I might well conduct a spring review of my Napoleonic forces and do a head count.
DeleteA cheeful, glossy toy soldier style! Hard to go wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteBest Regards,

From over three feet away you can't tell that they are gloss - just a colourful mass on the table!
Deleteand splendid looking fellows they now are!
ReplyDeleteThanks, and ready for action against the French voltigeurs!
DeleteGreat work Bob - the Scots Greys too!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for you kind words - can't beat redcoats though!
