The refurbishment of the first lot of my Hinchliffe 20mm British is now complete. I am also replacing some of the plastic figures with Hinchliffe originals too:
Basic Memoir '44 units:
A Vickers MG unit:
Command figures, forward observer team, flame thrower etc:
I had all of those! The pointing officer was my Brian Horrocks. I really liked them a (apart from the PIAT operator that carried his own wall around). This shows how well they paint up.
ReplyDeleteYes, the PIAT guy is a bit odd - especially in the middle of a field!
DeleteThese are splendid, Bob.
ReplyDeleteThanks, like most old figures they tend to look much better with a bit of paint slapped on.
DeleteThese bring back great memories!
ReplyDeleteThey must have been in many 80s wargames armies as they seem to pop up quite often for sale.
DeleteThey certainly do bring back memories... lovely toys indeed.
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly.
I have a few of the Hinchliffe US troops, but not enough for a unit; I must dig those out and see how they look with some paint on them.
DeleteSplendid figures, beautifully painted.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I did enjoy painting them.
