Having taken them out of the box, dusted them down, reattached the broken parts and finished off the paint scheme, the latest box of US tanks is ready to take to the field. The group consists of five Stuarts/Honeys, I believe by Matchbox, and two Airfix Lee tanks:
I normally am not exited by armor, but the recent unpacking of yours has me tingling all over. A huge butterfly. I must do my best to the temptation to start another project!

ReplyDeleteI have just had my interest in 1/72 armor re-awakened and have been browsing the Iron Cross rules from Great Escape Games.
Yes it beats the long hours of kit bashing and painting that needs doing before the enthusiasm switches to something else. I will stick with M'44 for now, although I am open to have a go at other rules sets.
DeleteI think you've started an Old School WW2 movement here, Bob! I've dug out bags of Type 1 Airfix 8th Army & DAK and unmade models to resurrect my old desert project: tempted to use Lionel Tarr rules too.
