More Brunswickers

Representing the 1st Line Battalion, some more Warrior Miniatures French, paint converted into Brunswickers.  I will probably paint one more and then will concentrate on some Dutch/Belgians.

Warrior Miniatures Allies

That venerable old school firm Warrior Miniatures caters well for the main protagonists of the napoleonic wars but there is limited coverage of the minor states.  There is a Brunswick element in the British section of the catalogue, but only for the Lieb Battalion with  the distinctive long coat and horse tail plume, but no line troops. Thanks to the work of Jeffers there are some Saxon troops available but that's about it.

I needed some of the minor nations troops for the 1815 campaign, so I set about paint converting some of my abundant French infantry casting.  Jeffers also upgraded these figures but as far as I know were never put into production.  John Holt the owner of Warrior Miniatures sadly has suspended the production of the Warrior range due to illness.  It is not know when or if production and sales will resume.

My idea is to paint a few battalions of German and Dutch troops to supplement my allied army.  So far two units have been completed.

A Nassau  line battalion:

And a Brunswick battalion:

I will add to these units occasionally.

Project Completed.

Last night I finished the remaining figures needed to complete my Quatre Bras Project.  The planned battle will take place this weekend so painting all of the figures in time has been a 'near run thing!'.

This batch consists of a battalion of Scots:

Another British Line battalion:

A second Brunswick battalion:

Some Brunswick Lancers (converted from Minifigs S range Austrians):

And a Brunswick battery (converted from really old figures):

It will be good to take a break from painting and get some figures onto the table.

Brunswickers

Off the production line today are two units of Brunswickers.  The Line Infantry are refurbishments while the Jaegers were painted from scratch.  All are Minifigs S Range figures:

I hope to have a couple of British units completed by tomorrow.

Prince August Conversion - Brunswick Line Infantry

Although the same figure as those from my scrap box, I actually cast these myself using the second hand moulds bought off ebay.  I used broken figures from my collection as a source of metal. I did a bit of cutting and filing and another unit for my 1815 allied army takes the field.  Thes only took a couple of hours to paint as the uniform is very simple.

Peninsular Warriors 4 - Warrior Miniatures Brunswickers

Forming part of my British Peninsular contingent is this battalion of Brunswick infantry.  These are old figures from my original coleection and they have not seen the light of day for several decades. I have simply rebased them and dusted them off:
