Another mystery figure

I recently purchased a group of Roman soldiers that were being sold as possible Ros Figures.  They are 25mm. The shields appear to be separate castings.

I am not so sure that they are by Ros, but they are delightful, but I think that they are quite old - 1970s probably.

Does anyone know who manufactured these figures?

Mystery Figure

I was wondering if anyone knows what this figure might be.  I have checked all the usual places that have information on early Minifigs to no avail. It is possible that someone has one of these in their collection.

He is most likely from the 25mm Minifigs S Range and may well be from the Colonial range; CC2s Moroccan Cavalryman.

Also in the Minifigs catalogue, under the French Revolutionary War, there is a figure listed as FRC 7s, Syrian Horse Lancer. Again, does anyone know of this figure and maybe what it looks like. Could the figure above be this one?  Or could the figure be something completely different.

Any information would be gratefully received.

Mystery Figure

I recently bought some second hand colonial figures.  In amongst them were handful of rather odd figures that I did not recognise. I have no idea as to what they may be or who manufactured them.  They are 25mm with rather strange proportions, wielding an unidentified weapon and carrying a shield:

As can be seen from the images they wear fur trousers, are bare chested and have the number F? T32 stamped on the base.  Could they be fantasy figures?

If anyone has any ideas I would welcome comments.

Mystery Figures

I bought these figures several years ago as part of a Seven Years War group.  I have always assumed them to be Minifigs either AWI Light Infantry or from the French and Indian War.  However, having looked several times I have been unable to find these figures in the Minifigs catalogue:

Annoyingly the bases have been cut down and there are no numbers visible.  but, on one I can make out CW, which makes me think they were originally ACW (American Civil War).  On closer examination I can see trousers and I think the hats (Kepis) have been filed down and a new front plate added to depict a Light Infantry helmet.  What they were originally, I am still not sure.

Any ideas?

Mystery Figures

I recently acquired these old 30mm colonial figures, but I have been unable to work out who manufactured them.  I have looked at Scruby, Willie, Tradition and other websites with no luck.

The group consists of highlanders, Sudanese? infantry and some natives:

On the base are the letters CW and a number:

If anyone is able to identify the maker I would be most grateful.

Mystery Figure Stripped

I have managed to strip most of the paint from the figure, which revealed some interesting features:

Looks like a tassel on the right side of the shako:
Closer view:
Is this a skull badge?

Rear view:
I still can't make up my mind - he could be a Brunswicker with some inaccuracies thrown in!

More on the mystery figure

Thank you to all those who have commented on this Minifigs figure (I am pretty sure it is Minifigs).  I have a copy of the Minifigs 1972/3 catalogue and the personality figures listed are:
I know it is none of the British figures and I am pretty sure that it is none of the French personality figures. So it could be the French ADC, French Marshall or the Prussian, Austrian or Russian general figure. Of course it could be a figure added to the range later as I know there were more personality figures.

The horse, in my view does not help, as these are generic to all figures and all of the horse furniture is on the figure itself.

I have taken some more close up pictures:

What is interesting is that pictures 4 and 5 show what appears to be a frock coat coming down to about knee length. In the same pictures the saddle cloth shape looks non French.

I am still not sure. Could he be Russian?
