I have been painting these figures for the last couple of weeks as a work through a Warrior Miniatures 25mm Russian 'Army' pack.
So far I have completed the Jaegers, Dragoons, Cossacks and line infantry. These guards are the latest in the production line. They proved easy to paint and look very distinctive in their tall mitre caps:
These are old figures and made of a very soft metal, so it was easy to bend the flag a little to make it look less rigid.
These are classic Old School figures !
ReplyDeleteYes, Warrior figures do have a very distinctive style.
DeleteVery handsome, Bob!
ReplyDeleteThanks, they certainly stand out from the rest!
DeleteIf it's bendy metal, that army pack must have cost about £12!
ReplyDeleteNot sure of the price as these were part of a figure swap, but I do know that they are very old. I was sure that the muskets would break as they were twisted right back; but no, they just bend back into shape.
DeleteBest thing about the bendy metal was the way every figure used to come out slightly different!
DeleteVery nice... the new Warrior chaps are rather brittle (but still a steal at the price).
ReplyDeleteThanks, yes you have to be careful with the thin bayonets.
DeleteSplendid looking fellows Bob.
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
Thanks Aly, will have to see how well they perform on the table!
DeleteOh, yes: just the deal! I reckon the Pavlovski Regiment is just about everyone's favourite Russian regiment! Kinda like the Austrian Hessen-Homburg Hussars in that respect!
ReplyDeleteEvery Russian army has to have some of these - I have enough left for a second unit too!
