For a change, I thought I would refurbish and re-base some old figures that have been lying in the lead pile. These are Minifigs S Range Napoleonic Russian Grenadiers, that were painted, but were scuffed and untidy. They have been touched up, based and varnished, with a new flag. Ready to join the ranks:
Classic figures that have stood the test of time I think ! .
ReplyDeleteI agree, far better than the current range.
DeleteYour Russians look good, Bob!
ReplyDeleteThanks - there's more to come.
DeleteFull of charm. So enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThe best 25mm range in my opinion.
DeleteVery nice...
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
Yes, a very pleasant combination of colors between the figures and the flag.
ReplyDeleteBest Regards,
Stokes
Nice figures - very elegant. Are you sure they are Minifigs S-range, though? They look a bit like the earlier generation of Minifigs to me. I'm thinking of the bayonets. I could well be mistaken, of course.
ReplyDeleteI took a look at some others that need restoration and I can make out 2s on the base, which chimes with the Minifigs catelogue as Russian grenadiers. It is possible that these are later than the more squat 'telegraph pole' types of S range figures?
DeleteSplendid restoration of the Russians- great work there Bob.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev; I am pleased with the result.
