Warrior Miniatures - Prussian Dragoons

I finally dug these old figures out; they had been part painted, but having sat in a box for decades, they were scuffed and dull.  I decided that they required a complete repaint. This is the result:

Now what about some infantry and artillery - oh no, not another project!

  1. They look wonderful! Wish I too had made the choice to go with Warrior figures way back when (as I have no doubt stated previously). They just have that certain something.

    1. Hi Stokes, these Warrior figures are really beginning to grow on me. They look rough and ready when new, but come alive once they are ainted. I bought a load back in the 80s and didn't really like them at the time, so they sat unpainted and unloved for decades. Now they are emerging from the stash and taking on a new life.

  2. Thankfully, I did go back and haven't regretted it! First Warrior I painted were Prussians: the really bendy ones from the early 80s to boot. Not only that, it was the first time I used a black undercoat.

    1. My early ones are very soft and I am amazed they can be straightened out without breaking. I took a look at Battle'77 hoping to see some Saxons, but the pictures do not seem to download?

  3. That's because I tried updating it on the iPad and it doesn't seem to work! I'm not au fair with blogging yet. Try this: http://jefslittlewinki.pbworks.com/w/page/67177361/Nappy for pictures of the masters and my Warrior collection!

    1. I took a look at the link. The Saxons look interesting and maybe I will add some to my French force when I have reduced the lead mountain a little more. I very much like your Austrians- the painting is superb. I would love to see more of your work.

  4. Cheers Bob, that's very kind of you to say. I should really get more stuff painted but as I don't really play anymore the impetus isn't there to finish anything.
