The Great Plastics Revival - More British

Some touching up and rebasing sees some Italeri Highlanders (always thought that these figures looked a bit odd) and another ESCI Royal Horse Artillery gun and crew. These will now join the growing British plastic army:

  1. I had a couple of the Esci artillery boxes, they were a very nice set, cracking work on them. The Italeri Highlanders I have not seen before, pretty static but decent looking figures and they look good ranked up, nice work on them.

  2. I've never been entirely convinced by any of the usual "Highlanders" sets; but the RHA with coat tails is *really* annoying ...

    1. Thanks for your comment. You know, I have never noticed the ESCI coat tails before, but you are quite right. I will never look at ESCI RHA figures in the same light again.

  3. I can't see anything wrong with the Italeri highlanders, it might just be the formal pose that's unusual, most companies have their highlanders doing something a little more dynamic.

    1. Thanks for your comment Rob. I probably should have been more clear; these guys are not too bad, but in the set overall there are some strange figures. I particularly like the standard bearers.
