Dervish Cavalry
This morning I finally finished off my Dervish cavalry. There are 12 figures, which will allow me to use four three figure units if using the Portable Colonial rules.
The figures are by Miniature Figurines and are 25mm scale. I was a bit dubious about these figures when in their raw metal state, but they don't don't look too bad once painted:

Regardless of your concerns they have indeed turd out rather well...
ReplyDeleteI do find that there are a couple of Minifigs ranges that look a bi short in the neck... but still scrub up well in the end...

I agree, some figures look eally odd and some do not suit the walking forward pose. But, they do scrub up well with some paint.

ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about Minifigs 25mm ranges covering so many periods! My 25mm ancients started with Minifigs!
My own colonials are 6mm (mainly Ros & Heroics or Irregular Miniatures) or 20mm (mix of Newline, Jacklex, and some 22mm plastics!)

I wish that I had gone down the Jacklex 20mm route, especially now that production has been stepped up once more.
