As an aside - which I bore everybody with - the prototype of the FV432 Wombat mounting was built by my father in law.Jeffershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07319010033525561907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474733860161790452.post-17047239117941447582019-02-03T23:43:08.189-08:002019-02-03T23:43:08.189-08:00Indeed, I expected to see burning soviet tanks and...Indeed, I expected to see burning soviet tanks and APCs littering the field, while the Blankshires slip away to their next position!

As mentioned above, the explosions and smoke are home made.Bob The Old Painterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12799920263660656268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474733860161790452.post-87954244672801345812019-02-03T23:38:10.579-08:002019-02-03T23:38:10.579-08:00It was a fun game. I do indeed use my own rules, which have 'Battle','Operation Warboard' and 'Wargames' systems at their heart. They provide a quick and smooth flowing game.Bob The Old Painterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12799920263660656268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474733860161790452.post-31237769357166395522019-02-03T23:34:24.941-08:002019-02-03T23:34:24.941-08:00Hi Peter, thanks for your comments. I just cut out the shapes and layer them (black, red, yellow for example). Once dry I stick them to a base, such as a 10p coin, painted black. They work well and are easy to store.Bob The Old Painterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12799920263660656268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7474733860161790452.post-80245935802726123692019-02-03T13:50:33.730-08:002019-02-03T13:50:33.730-08:00With the Blankshires pedigree I was hoping for a b...With the Blankshires pedigree I was hoping for a better result against those ghastly Soviets!

Brilliant looking game and I too like the smoke and explosion effects.
